    Overview:

    Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute (CNCI) in Kolkata, a premier cancer care institution in India, offers a range of observership and training programs designed for medical, nursing , paramedics and research professionals. These programs provide an immersive experience in various aspects of oncology, fostering the development of skills and knowledge necessary for advanced cancer care.

    Program Duration and Structure:

    Short-Term Observership
    (1 Day to 1 Week)

    - Duration: 1 day to 1 week.

    - Objective: This program is ideal for medical students, residents, nursing and practicing clinicians who wish to gain a brief yet comprehensive overview of the functioning and protocols in a high-volume cancer institute.

     -Content: Participants will observe daily clinical operations, including patient rounds, outpatient consultations, diagnostic procedures, and multidisciplinary tumor board meetings.

    Medium-Term Observership (1 Week to 1 Month)

    - Duration: 1 week to 1 month.

    - Objective: Designed for medical professionals looking for a more in-depth exposure to specific oncology specialties.

    - Content: In addition to the activities in the short-term program, participants will have the opportunity to observe advanced surgical procedures, radiation therapy planning and execution, and medical oncology treatments.

    Long-Term Observership

    - Duration: 1 month to 3 months.

    - Objective: Aimed at clinicians and researchers who wish to develop a deeper understanding and potentially pursue a career in oncology.

    - Content: Participants will be involved in comprehensive clinical and research activities. This includes participation in ongoing research projects, detailed observation of complex surgical and non-surgical treatments, and involvement in patient follow-ups and case discussions.
